Die dritte 12" der Band ist nochmal abwechslungsreicher und (im positiven Sinne) experimenteller als die beiden Vorgängerscheiben. Der Sound ist geil kraftvoll, die Stimme düster...eine wirklich großartige Scheibe!!
Cross Stitched Eyes nahmen die 8 neue Songs bereits 2016/2017 auf, und vollendeten die Aufnahmen 2020! Das ist hier doch genau der Stoff, den man als Fan von AMEBIX, RUDIMENTARY PENI und KILLING JOKE hören will: düsterer Hardcore-Punk mit gelegentlichem Synthie-Einsatz.

Originally released 2009 as a limited run one-sided 12, now finally repressed and available again! "Burial" featured one track from the "Inlé" session that didn't fit on the original double album. Similar to their also one-sided "Tharn" remix this 12" comes with a beautiful etching on the flip side.
'Tharn' (meaning 'fear') is a single-track remix release of 'Dominion Theology' taken from their latest album 'Elil', but feels more like a teaser for new material from Brighton's Fall of Efrafa. Paper Aeroplane, the remix masters at work here have turned what is a harsh and bleak track and infused it with piano, cello and a sense of post-rock pleasantries. Their wording of this in release material as a 're-imagining' of the track, although a stomach-churning term, in this case is accurate. Taking sections of guitar and sections of the relentless heaviness and turning it into almost a soundtrack-like piece of music is a great way to manipulate and show off FoE's grandeur in a way they had obviously not thought of before. it was released on 300 one-sided LPs with a beautiful screen-printed b-side, this release is sold out since a super long time, which shows you how fast word travels on a fantastic band. 2021 has brought a new name and lineup change with Timmy (Extinct Exist) on guitar, Tessa (Ubik) on bass, and Kyle (Sheer Mag) on drums.

Within all these years of playing and writing songs together, VICIOUS IRENE have managed to create a style of individual Hardcore punk that melts together elements of classic Scandi D-Beat, Jap-Core and nineties Grunge/Punk, forming a stomping and massive beast of Grrrl Punk (all members are female). 10 new tracks that give you an imagination of DISCHARGE meeting up with L7 or BIKINI KILL to discuss gender, feminism and authoritarian politics over a tea or booze bootle (you decide) not forgetting irony and humor... - The recording is a screaming steamroller of sheer and raw heavy noise and pounding drums. Comparsions to other bands probably don't judge VICIOUS IRENE in 2012, as they sound as unique and fresh as no other band I can think of at the moment. Great album, I am really happy to be part of this project!
